MOSS' ADOPTABLES
Here are some of the 'adoptables' for my characters' family trees. They come with a reference image, that you can change if you would like. Names can change, and in most cases, gender can change although that is not the case for all of them. Their personalities and life events are also up to you! I try not to create a super rigid adoptable, although in some cases, certain aspects of a particular character impacted my own characters... in those cases, those facts are not really negotiable. If you're interested in any of them, just let me know either in this thread or via Discord (venommoss)!
NOTE; any characters without a strike-through are open. Click icons to see the larger image.
MISSINGEYE'S FAMILY;
Please note that Missingeye has a large family, and some are not listed here. Please refer to my tracker for the ones not listed below, which include her mother's and father's siblings (all elders now). The kits and mates of her siblings are not listed below, or on her family tree, but are still open for adoption if one would like. Her siblings' players are free to make their kits as adoptables if they would like to. Missingeye's own mother, siblings, current mate, and kits are listed below. It's a long list. All of them are in GALECLAN.
BRIARLEAP - FEMALE - ELDER
While never the warmest of mothers, Briarleap did the best she could in the situation that she had. Her own parents had been harsh, expecting a lot of their kits. Briarleap raised her own kits with the same expectations that had been instilled in her. Briarleap had been a decent warrior, a commandeering, demanding mother, and a less-than-ideal lover in terms of her mate. She had known for a while that he had not been faithful to her, finding love outside the clan, and she suspects fathering kits. Although he never admitted it, not even on his deathbed. She resides now in the Elder’s den, where she has managed to find some peace from the chaos that her life had become. While she holds a decent relationship with her children, it is neither warm nor particularly loving. They never quite met the expectations that she had for them.
Dapplepelt, much like her sister, is not the warmest of individuals. Although she has more of a motherly nature about her, that makes her more approachable than either of her siblings, with a kinder, almost kit-like face despite her age. Dapplepelt shared her sister’s ambitiousness, but not so much for prowess, as she did strive for motherhood. She had her own kits young, getting pregnant only a few moons after she had gained her warrior name. She adored motherhood, and more often than not stayed in the Queen’s den to help with kits, rather than moving back to the warrior’s den after her litters moved on to the Apprentice’s den. She’s always known she was more fit for the duties of a queen than a warrior. The family doesn't speak about the fact that she's had litters by multiple toms, some of which she never said who the father was. Perhaps it is because of her success in her own ambitions that the relationship between the sisters is a bit strained.
BLACKTAIL - MALE - S. WARRIOR
The only boy of the litter, and the last born, Blacktail perhaps got the warmest treatment from the sibling’s parents. Although, he was still held to high expectations by his mother, to which he mostly met them. He bonded with his kit-hood best friend, a she-cat who was much warmer and tolerable than his mother, eventually having kits with the she-cat after a long, slow-burn romance. A respected warrior, Blacktail is the spitting image of his father, which perhaps now makes his mother a tad more frosty than she used to be towards him. He is still aloof in his own way, but his life has had far less drama and hardship than either of his sisters’ lives had. Blacktail has learned from his mate how to be a more nurturing and caring father to his own kits, determined not to put the stress on them that he himself had placed on him as nothing more than a kit.
ADDERFANG - MALE - S. WARRIOR
An exceptionally large tom, Adderfang has always given a fatherly, but stern allusion. The latter, however, is quite the opposite. He is warm, and gentle, until the time comes when not being so is called for. It’s a true wonder how he ended up tangled in the somewhat dramatic life of Missingeye, although he seems to find something worth loving in her. The two are opposites, and while at first, then at the time Cherryfang, had been quite opposed to a relationship with him, he somehow eventually won her over. They managed one litter together before becoming senior warriors, and admittedly, Adderfang could not be more proud of the kits — now apprentices — that he helped create. While he wishes sometimes that Missingeye would be more a caring, warm mother, he knows that she is just as she is, and still manages to love her for it.
OLEANDERWHISKER - FEMALE - WARRIOR
Of Missingeye’s first litter, Oleanderwhisker did not have the warm treatment that her youngest siblings have had. She is much like her mother in her aloof personality, with her now deceased father’s temper. She comes off as harsh and perhaps a bit moody, her moods changing with the phases of the moon seemingly. She, as a youngster, was always interested in the duties of a medicine cat, although she was never chosen as one. Perhaps she resents this but does have some herbal knowledge from her time bothering the medicine cats. She is still a good warrior, however, but excels at hunting. She’s secretly a hopeless romantic and has a tendency to throw herself at anyone who gives her attention of any kind, a behavior that her mother — and grandmother — have often scolded her for, telling her that she needs to have more worth in herself.
IVYTHORN - FEMALE - WARRIOR
Even more like her father, Ivythorn has always been hot-tempered. She holds a particular distaste for her youngest half-siblings and barely acknowledges them as siblings at all. She thinks that her mother should have stayed a widower after the death of her father. She was always close with her mentor, eventually falling in love with the older tom after she had become a warrior, something that many may look down upon her for — including her own mother. Ivythorn, however, pays little attention to the ostracisation, preferring instead to focus on the fact that she is truly happy in life. She has kits, and wants more, although, with the difficulty that she had in her first pregnancy, many have advised her against having a second litter. Will she risk her life, or will she listen to the advice? It's a question that she herself might not even know the answer to.
Despite his regal, stern-looking features, Kitefoot is the one of his siblings that breaks the mold of the family. He is not particularly talented in anything, being fairly average in all but his intelligence. Goofy and humorous, Kitefoot is looked at as little more than a dimwit by his mother, and he has long since lived up to that reputation. He is, however, a caring and loyal tom who gives his all to everything despite his inability to excel in anything. Beneath the mask of humor, lies a tom who thinks little of himself. But, what he lacks in true skill and intelligence, he makes up for in almost blind loyalty to his clan, finding solace in the fact that perhaps they appreciate him more than his mother or sisters ever really could. He took his father's death the hardest, considering his father managed to give him some confidence, despite the often frosty demeanor the tom had had.
Looking more like her mother, Shrikepaw is anything but her mother’s creation. She holds the warm, loving personality of her father, amplifying it into an affectionate, kind demeanor. She loves helping and is eager to be learning how to be the best warrior that she can be. She doesn’t quite understand why her older half-siblings want little to do with her, but she has a particular favoritism towards her older brother, wanting to give him some joy in life. She strives to make those around her happy but does not enjoy the idea of being a mother. In fact, she isn’t even entirely sure that she even likes toms, developing more of an affinity towards other she-cats. Shrikepaw is still figuring out who she is, but all she really wants out of life is to be the best warrior that she can be. She cares little for her mother's opinions but realizes that her mother is as she is and that she'll never be a warm mother, but knows that Missingeye would do anything she could for her.
TERNPAW - MALE - APPRENTICE
Ternpaw, even as a kit, was always an ambitious thing. He has goals in life, even at such a young age, that he hopes to achieve. He wants to be the best that he can be and already shows unwavering loyalty to his clan. He cares little for his mother but adores his father. He wishes that he had a better relationship with his older siblings, but knows that the lack of one that he has is not his fault. More emotionally mature than others his age, Ternpaw often comes off as arrogant, despite the fact that he is simply just secure in who he is. He already shows a talent for hunting but has a love for battle, and hopes to learn more about the ways of fighting as his apprenticeship goes on. He is close with his littermate, Shrikepaw, but often finds her affectionateness annoying.
OTHER ADOPTABLES WILL BE ADDED AS I GAIN MORE CHARACTERS.
