- Lightfooted and springy; agile climber and quiet, patient hunter
- Their apprenticeship was marked most prominently by surviving a near-drowning that claimed the life of their mentor, Snowear. The experience left them simmering with survivor's guilt and a directionless anger they've tried hard to bury.
- Stubborn and strongly moral. Some might call their worldview simplistic, but they think things would be better if cats were just a bit kinder to each other.

- Polite! He knows The Rules of Interacting. If you are not polite to him then he will remind you about the appropriate manners and then you will apologize. Not necessarily tactful or subtle in conversation.
- Averse to being casually touched. Might react with an irritated twitch at best or a swat at worst. (They'll groom themself, thank you.)
- Stupid tenacious. Bristlepaw will keep trying even if their body physically Cannot. Had to be held back from leaping back into to the water after their mentor with a broken leg.
