sparrowclaw (he/him) | galeclan
The sun had fallen past the horizon, and as the weather had started to warm, the moors were still lively even when it began to grow dark. Crickets, cicadas and bats chirped among the sound of the whistling wind passing through the stalks of grass. Though many Clan cats had gone to sleep at this point, save for those who would keep guard, Sparrowclaw often found himself restless. This hadn't been anything out of the ordinary for the tom, who had been restless for most of his life, but with the events of the past moon, it had perhaps become somewhat worrying to those who could see past his cold exterior.
So soon after Wapatostar had gained his lives and his name, it seemed he had lost the life inside him. It came to weigh on Sparrowclaw, newly appointed deputy, and Frozenkingdom to push the leader to simply survive some days. Basilstar and Nutriafang were gone, and when the deputy and medicine cat were not tending to their regular duties or making sure the leader did not wither away, the toms could, from time to time, be found out on their own. Searching.
So when Wapatostar had called off the search for Basilstar and Nutriafang, Sparrowclaw had continued to take to the searches on his own, but naturally it did not take long for Foxtail to start to show some concern for him. He tried to brush the worries off, saying that he was fine, but the ginger tom could easily see through any sort of deceiving words he might have put up. So, if bringing Foxtail on his search for his former apprentice and younger sister to the leader meant that he would stop bothering him, then so be it. Maybe he could even be helpful, if Sparrowclaw were so lucky.
He wasn't entirely sure what it was he was looking for at a certain point, or what finding it would solve. The obvious answer would exist that he was simply searching for Nutriafang, and hoped to bring her back alive, but simultaneously Sparrowclaw knew that finding her was likely easier said than done. If she was somehow still on GaleClan territory, Sparrowclaw worried that he would not find her alive anymore - he worried that finding her on the moors would be her body, battered by rogues or foxes. Chances were that she was further than GaleClan by this point, and her scent was disappearing by the day. Early in her disappearance, he had been sure he'd scented something near ShoreClan's territory, but it didn't seem as though she'd crossed the border. When the ShoreClan scent seemed to linger onto GaleClan, Sparrowclaw had begun to wonder if she'd been chased by a patrol, causing a shiver of worry down his spine as he thought about Webdance pointing out some strange things along the border in a patrol. He hated thinking that he should have heeded it more seriously, and that perhaps if he had, Nutriafang would still be here.
At this point, Sparrowclaw was now beginning to push past the outside of GaleClan's typical borders into rogue land. It was all he had left at this point to search, but that also meant it was an endless world where Nutriafang could have gone by now.
