[attr="class","pinscroll"] wapatofur - galeclan deputy[break]"Are you sure you want me to lead the ceremony?" Wapatofur sat hunched at the entrance to Basilstar's den, voice cracking as he spoke in a hushed whisper. He sucked in a haggard breath upon receiving the dreaded, but predictable answer from his leader. "But Basilstar, I don't -- I'm not sure that's a good idea. Why? Uh, well... No, yes, I totally get I'll have to do these a lot as leader. It's just... I might not be ready -- Okay, okay, as you wish, Basilstar." [break][break]
Wapatofur turned away from the opening to the underground den, tail low but not quite dragging across the ground. He would never refuse an order from the black-and-white leader, even if it meant performing what was essentially an important clan ritual. Basilstar knew this well about his deputy, and utilized the trick whenever Wapatofur's brain got stuck in a loop of self-doubt.[break][break]
The hulking brown tom paused once he reached the other side of the rocks covering Basilstar's den. Bunching his muscles, he hopped from one to the other with ease until he landed at the top, where GaleClan leaders held apprentice and warrior ceremonies. Wapatofur peered down at the bustling camp. Many cats mingled a short distance from the base of the rocks, likely aware of the imminent meeting. He scanned the clearing for his younger sister, Nutriapaw, but couldn't locate her. Just she and Sturgeonpaw would receive new names today. [break][break]
'StarClan, I really hope I don't forget their warrior names when the time comes.' Sweat started to form on his paw pads. He wiped them on the rock. [break][break]
"Let's get this out of the way," Wapatofur muttered under his breath. More audibly he yowled, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the high rocks for a clan meeting."

nutriapaw - galeclan apprentice[break][break]
Nutriapaw shot upwards in her nest when she heard Wapatofur's familiar cry, heart pounding and hair standing on end. She glanced around the empty apprentice's den before she rose and shook moss from her bushy fur.[break][break]
'How long was I asleep?' Anxious about receiving a new name and set of responsibilities, Nutriapaw took refuge in the apprentice's den to calm her nerves. Evidently she'd succeeded enough to fall into a lovely doze.[break][break]
The fluffy brown she-cat grimaced as she stepped out into the harsh afternoon sunshine. Nutriapaw squinted up at her brother, an amused smile pulling at her mouth as she watched the older tom squirm. Perhaps the fear of public speaking was a familial trait.[break][break]
A large audience had already formed by the time she took an isolated seat before the high rocks. Although she had nothing against him as a cat, she checked to make sure she was not seated near Sturgeonfox. He was two moons younger than her but was somehow still receiving his warrior name a moon early. She, of course, was a moon late. Bitterness clawed at her belly. She couldn't see herself ever forgiving Sparrowclaw nor Basilstar for that.
