OrchidClan Warrior (37 moons)

Short Description: A stocky, round-faced cat with a ticked golden coat
Age: 37 moons
Pronouns: they/them
Rank: Warrior
Personality:
- Scrappy and self-assured, with a casual manner of speaking. Not a subtle bone in their body. Matter-of-fact. Plucky and cheerful, but with an undercurrent of brusque impatience.
- Doesn't always put in the effort to understand others' points of view; on the other paw, Pouncebloom isn't nosy and is content to let others keep their secrets.
- Is really good at one thing and that thing is fighting. Unexpectedly strong and quick in combat. Can roll with the blows and strike back with surprising force. Uses their short, solid frame to their advantage. Always down to spar.
- Chased off a small dog once, won't let anyone forget it.
- Dislikes walking or running long distances.
- Bears a suspicious lack of resemblance to any of the potential sires in the clan, possibly half-kittypet. A bit sensitive about this.
Goatstripe:
- Was not ready for the responsibility of training an apprentice when they were assigned to mentor Goatpaw. Pouncebloom hadn't cared much for the boring parts of training as an apprentice, and it was no more interesting from the other side.
- Besides, Goatpaw seemed fairly self-sufficient. He certainly seemed to learn things that Pouncebloom hadn't bothered to teach him. And when it came to the one training task that Pouncebloom actually enjoyed and where they could offer more-than-passable knowledge—well, Goatpaw always seemed to accumulate injuries like burrs, even when Pouncebloom was sure they couldn't possibly go any easier on them.
- Now, even to someone as removed from the intricacies of intra-clan politics as Pouncebloom, it was apparent that Goatpaw and his siblings were meant to carry on some sort of legacy. And they sympathized, really—it's no fun having someone scrutinize you for your heritage—but this apprentice obviously wasn't going to be anyone special, no matter who was teaching them.
- So Pouncebloom turned their attention elsewhere. Their training eased to a light touch, whatever was necessary to convince the deputy and leader their obligations were being met. They didn't pry as Goatpaw's injuries grew worse and more frequent—they even withdrew, still half-convinced they might be responsible for them in some way. They did the bare minimum, and Goatstripe grew to be a decent, upstanding warrior, even if Pouncebloom couldn't claim credit for most of it.
- And then, well, he died. Would have been easier to process if there had been someone or something to blame. Sounds terrible, but there wasn't much they could do about it now, was there?
...was there?
- Goatstripe (former apprentice, believed dead)
