The black and white cat drew near to sit by the she-cat’s side. After sitting loftily above, on the branch of a tree, the wind carried a familiar scent. Basilstar settled to visit his clanmate, although which one he would find would remain a mystery for his vision to solve. However, upon approaching, he noticed the air around the she-cat seemed quiet and melancholy. Something looked wrong with her, even though she hadn’t spoken or looked his way. As he approached Cherrydusk, her tail flicked in a friendly greeting, and her golden eyes met his.
“I hope you don’t mind my meddling, but what’s upset you? You’re not yourself today, or so I have noticed,” he meowed softly. Basilstar sat to Cherrydusk’s right but not too close. He didn’t want to intrude if she wanted to be left alone. Frozenkindgom had probably warned him about doing such things- invading cats who didn’t wish for his help- or was that someone else? Either way, it still applied as a Leader, most importantly then. Problems should be given to others with trust so that solutions can be trusted. Additionally, he had never seen Cherrydusk in such a state, even if he didn’t know the smaller she-cat well. Her energy appeared drained, and her eyes were heavy with grief.
