Walking alongside the white she-cat, she listened to what the other had to say. She would be lying if she said she wasn't surprised by the choice, however she wouldn't doubt Iceeye's choice in the matter. She trusted her, and besides it saved her the ever growing concern over what to do with that one. Who's to say he wouldn't grow out of his insecurities - you can't discredit someone before they try. He could've ended up one of their best warriors, but that was best case.
After all this was the tom who was always getting trampled by his sisters. Those two were also a headache to say the least. They had more energy the the whole camp most days. A soft snicker came from the tabby at Iceeye's comment, "He might have a near panic attack, then again I think that would happen regardless of the path he was chosen for," she mused. The young thing held so much light, she just wished he could see it. After all his two sisters were little spitfires, someone had to be the calm in that mess.
"Hopefully Leafbare won't be too harsh on us this season. We have many mouths to feed and need everyone safe and healthy." she agreed. "I woke the other morning with a sense of dread. Hopefully it was just a nightmare about herbs and not a message form starclan I forgot upon waking..." She sighs. She hoped it was just worry form lack of fresh kill in the area and also the on coming cold seasons. She knew sometimes Starclan did not make sure the cat they warned could remember their dreams. But she had hoped as a Medicine cat she would be able to remember anything of importance.

Hearing this did not bring any sort of comfort the to Leader. Prey had already been getting harder to find then normal and they had yet to find the source. She was worried maybe Two-legs were scaring it away, or maybe foxes. It was hard to say, no one had reported anything just yet. However the question pulled her from her mild dread and she lifted her head,

"You just wanted to get out of your duties for an afternoon didnt you!" She jokingly scolds. She was glad to know she was right that they were near the mouth. Maybe the way the water burbled a little more here? or was it the way the reeds swayed near by? She would have to take more trips out here with her new apprentice once he was named.
"Jokes aside, we are looking for the tenderest parts of the plant but you can pull the thicker stems too, those are good dried for later." She says, her mind back on the job at paw. |

“My duties aren’t as strenuous these days, I would like to keep busy,” she chuckled softly at the medicine cat. Soon enough Iceeyes would have her own apprentice, and wouldn’t be needing her help like she did now. She’ll have her extra set of paws to carry everything for her and make sure there isn’t any anomaly in the earth she should know about. It was bittersweet. She didn’t mind helping the other, but there would still be plenty of other reasons for them to spend time together. After all, who’s to say she couldn’t just volunteer herself on a herb hunt?
Morningstar nodded as the other instructed on how to spot and pluck the herbs. Carefully following the instructions she managed to collect a decent pawful along with the other. It seemed like a pretty good mission, if she had to say so herself. Once all of their herbs were collected and Iceeyes deemed it as enough the two of them grabbed their respective bundles and made their way back.
There were changes coming to Orchidclan, and Morningstar had not a single worry about it. She had the support of Iceeyes and Bullwasp, and Orchidclan was strong and clearly out to prove it. She could feel it, with young Dipperkit joining the fray, their forces would only grow as he bloomed into his spot in the medicine den. She was certain he would thrive there, better than attempting to get him to fight.
