Things had been changing in the clan as of late and there was a lot to get done. Mind you Morningstar wasn't the kind of leader to sit back and do nothing. She was just as active as the rest of her clan and she wouldn't sit back and let them do all the work. With that being said, there was one cat she needed to stop by and check on. She knew she was fine, but she was important, and not to be left out.

Carefully pushing her tabby face past the lichen covering the opening to the hollow log, she noted it had been a while since she had been in this den - which was a good sign really. "Iceeyes, busy as usual it seems," the leader spoke in a careful tone - careful not to startle the sightless she-cat.

When the leader walked in Ice-eyes' ear twitched. She stopped what she was doing and turned when the she-cat spoke. She purred with amusement at the statement. Of course she was busy. She made sure of it. Idle paws worked no miracles.

"Always. You have been busy too. Its been at least a moon since the last time you were in here. Anything I can assist you with today Morningstar?" She asks, moving away from her stock piles of herbs. She would have to ask an apprentice later to help her with gathering some herbs, but that would be an ask for a later time.

Careful to be more patient around the other she glanced around the den as the Medicine Cat spoke, "I am afraid there is no nothing for you to assist me with today. Mind you, I was wondering how you're doing these days.." she mused as she stepped fully into the log and curled her tail over her paws, careful not to mess up any of the herbs scattered around the den in neat piles.

"You haven't had much help in here as of late - I was wondering if there was anything you might need. I have some spare time on my paws if you could use them,"

Ice-eyes' ears flicked in surprise. "I'm okay. I was in need of a warrior or apprentice to go and gather some things for me. But I am doing well. Thankfully we havent had any sickness roll through camp but I do need to replace some of my store. Some got wet with the last rain and arent keeping as well as I would like." She rambles. She wasnt used to thinking about herself unless she was starting to feel sick herself. But she was not feeling any of that.

"Im glad to hear you have some time on your paws. You deserve to rest every now and again. Leaders have so much weight on their shoulders." She purrs kindly, settling onto her haunches.

The young leader gave a small chuckle, it appeared her hint was missing on the other she-cat's ears. Not that she minded, it was unlike a leader to step outside of their normal role and do such mundane tasks. However there was no rhyme or reason as to why she shouldn't use her spare time to do something to assist in her clanmates daily lives. She wasn't above such tasks, how else would you have thought she got to the position in which she was?

"Would you like me to accompany you on a trip out? The seasons will be changing soon and I am sure it wouldn't hurt to get a little ahead of the game. If not I am sure a stretch of the legs and company would be a nice change of pace as well."

"Honestly I would love to get out of camp. Its nice to experience different smells every now and again. And yes, I can tell that Leaf fall is coming so this is probably going to be our last chance to find catmint. Which I need as much as we can carry. Its the only cure we have for Wet Cough and Green Cough." She rattles.

"We will get a good stretch of our limbs getting over to the river delta." She purrs in amusement. "so good conversation can be had as well."

There was a slight unease in the leader at the mention of Catmint - however it eased as quickly as it came. Right, the river would be useful as well. She nodded mostly to herself as her Medicine Cat gathered her own thoughts aloud.

"Well of course, this is great time for us to catch up and do something productive. After all I need you to let me in on any warriors who might be getting a tad foolish on their patrols." she chuckled with amusement and turned back towards the exit of the medicine den.

Iceeyes Purred in agreement. "We haven't had a good chat in a while and the trail will be long with you guiding me," She pads out of her den and walks toward the entrence of camp, sure the shecat was following her, "So we have plenty of time to chat. Ive got some things I need to talk to you about without all the ears around." she purred in amusement.

All she meant is that the kits have bigger ears than they had sense and she was going to take this time to talk to Morningstar about an apprentice since the kits in the nursery were getting older and with the new season coming closer that meant a new moon and a naming ceremony.

The other she-cat was in a good mood today and that alone was enough to put the leader in a relatively decent mood as well. A clan was always as good as their Medicine Cat. Even the strongest warrior would only get so far before they needed help. Morningstar was thankful for the work that Iceeyes did for their clan and was always going to be there to give her support.

“Of course. I am all ears for whatever you may have to share with me,” she mewed as she tailed after the white she-cat. “Granted you can’t be too safe, the forest is alive and you never know who might be listening,” she joked in good spirits.

Ice-eyes Lets out a deep purr of amusement as she made her way out of the camp and feels around with her tail for the other cats body, ready to go toward the river bed. "I have noticed the kits are getting older. And I think I am ready to take on an apprentice." she says softly.

"I think I know which Kit I want too." She adds. Hopefully Morningstar wasnt too surprised. Ice eyes had been needing some help collecting herbs for a few seasons now.

It had never bothered Morningstar to be around Iceeyes. She may not be the most social cat, but she always had a softer spot for the Medicine Cat. She was thankful to have her to support her in taking care of Orchidclan. She was confident in her clan and she knew that she could always rely on Iceeyes if they ever needed her.

Careful to let the other feel her as she guided the pair of them towards their destination, her ears turned as the other started speaking up. A soft hum of acknowledgment was all she gave the older she-cat as she continued on with her thought, “is that so? We do have some prime apprentices coming up soon. Who did you have in mind?” She asked.l, her curiosity genuine. They had a fair amount of kits coming of age this moon, and they would be prepping the next generation of warriors.

Iceeyes liked being around Morningstar as well, even if the leader was quick to action when sometimes careful thought was required. But thankfully the leader listened to her whenever she spoke up.

She places her paws carefully as they make their journey. "Dipperkit." She states. "He is a natural mediator between his siblings, even if he's very skittish. He also has a mind for herbs. He asks lots of questions and Seems to absorb information like cobwebs absorb blood."

Bullwasp was someone she knew she could trust to have her back in battle, and Iceeyes would always be there to lecture them afterwords while she patched them up. With those two Morningstar was more then confident in the abilities of her clan. Hopefully the other clans were also aware of this, and kept their distance.

“Dipperpaw?” She mused with genuine confusion. She had not anticipated anyone asking for him personally. He was a good kid, but like she said he was pretty skittish. Then again, it might be safer for him this way, it was tough to say if he would grow out of it before he became a warrior. “That’s an interesting choice, do you think he can stomach the jobs that come with being a Medicine Cat?”
