The days had grown boring and cramped in the nursery. Nightkit knew their days would soon come to an end there, however far away it seemed to him now. He slipped from the den, peering around.

The Orchidclan camp was alive with warriors moving about, getting ready to leave on a patrol and a hunting trip. Some were leaving to go train, which caught the young kit’s attention. As he watched, a cluster of warriors began to leave.

’Now’s my chance!’ he thought to himself. The youngster darted across the camp, hot on the heels of the large group leaving. So engrossed in their conversations, no one noticed him. His plan was working perfectly! Or… so he thought.
