Bluestorm carries the typical vibe of someone who feels as though no on around her understands what it's like to be her. Perhaps she's right, to a certain degree, given that her own father had once named her Deathkit when she was first born. She deeply believes that no one likes her, and that no one could ever like her due to the fact that her birth caused the death of River-rock, the ShoreClan deputy at the time. She feels as though her existence is a warning from StarClan and a reminder that leaders, deputies and medicine cats should not be having litters of their own.
[break]
That being said, anyone who is willing to push through Bluestorm's barriers would likely find a very lonely young cat who just wants to be listened to and understood. She would very likely grow to be very protective, much like her adoptive mother, to those who she allowed in. This is a side of her that might take some time to reveal itself, as right now she seems stuck in her awkward teenage phase of not being understood and not wanting to be understood.
Bluestorm is a medium-furred blue-grey cat, her fur one solid colour from nose to tail tip, though some might mention that her nose is a little darker and it seems that the fur along her tail is slightly darker than the fur on her body. She isn't a particularly attractive cat, nor is she unsightly, but simply put is rather average by looks. Her tail is much fluffier and softer than the fur along the rest of her body, creating a feathery look to her tail as it moves about, sometimes more likely to pick up loose bits of grit when she isn't paying close enough attention.
[break]
She does seem to have a rather kitten-like phyisque, something she may likely always carry in terms of her size and structure. But like most ShoreClan cats, her medium length glossy fur is always an asset to her swimming, and her body is overall quite sleek. She has pale green eyes, though they are often quite thin or even closed, her jaded personality seeming to come through her eyes most of all.

[attr="class","gridbox"]
River-rock, the ShoreClan deputy, had fallen in love with Pineclaw, and despite the warnings about how deputies should not have kits, River-rock fell pregnant. She tried to push herself to continue performing her duties, but the end of her pregnancy was rough. When it was time to give birth, she first had a she-kit, followed by two stillborn toms. As she tried to give birth to a fourth, River-rock lost much of her strength, and it was clear that infection had begun to wrack her body. In the end, she was unable to push out the fourth kit before River-rock was taken away to StarClan.
[break]
Pineclaw, absolutely overcome with grief, was unable to see his only surviving kit. He began to say that perhaps it was a sign from StarClan, a reminder that leaders, deputies and medicine cats are not supposed to have kits. After a week without being named, Pineclaw was eventually asked what he wished to name his daughter, and he said he did not wish to name his kit. Eventually after enough push, he named the kit Deathkit, since her existence reminded him only of death. Cats protested his cruel naming, but he would not budge.
[break]
Deathkit never saw her father much, as he spent all his time as far from the nursery as possible. On top of that, he was also more or less prevented from going near the nursery by Deathkit's adoptive mother, Desertrose, who had just given birth to Fenneckit and Burrowingkit and had the milk to spare. She became quickly protective of the lone kit who had lost her mother, all three littermates, and had been emotionally abandoned by her father. Soon enough, the queen approached Newtstar and demanded that the kit be renamed before she developed too many memories of being called Deathkit when she deserved something much more fitting.
[break]
Newtstar renamed the kit Bluekit before she turned a moon old, though it was no secret that cats would still hear Pineclaw refer to her as Deathkit, if he talked about her at all. He would sometimes pretend to not hear the name, or be confused as to who they were talking about when they mentioned Bluekit. Thankfully, given that Desertrose refused to let Pineclaw come anywhere near the nursery, Bluekit never had to worry about this. Instead, she was able to enjoy herself by playing with her new littermates Burrowingkit and Fenneckit, as well as Tundraswan's single kit, Nutriakit, who was only a moon older.
[break]
Unfortunately though, it was impossible to keep all the thoughts and words away from the kit. She would hear whispers while playing in the camp about how she was a cursed sign from StarClan about their disappointment in River-rock trying to have kits, and it started to place a burden on the young kit's shoulders. She started to feel as though the entire Clan was out to get her, and that she was no more than a burden on everyone. Perhaps with enough words about her being a curse, she would start to think that was actually her reason for still being alive. After all, there had to have been a reason that StarClan took her mother and all three of her littermates and left her alive, right?
[break]
What felt like her first curse was when Nutriakit, who had become one of her closest friends in the nursery, was more or less taken away. Her older brother, Wapatofur, who was also the deputy of GaleClan, had more or less struck a deal with his mother to take Nutriakit to GaleClan when she was old enough. While Bluekit would play with Fenneckit and Burrowingkit, she simply had not made the same relationships with them as she had with Nurtiakit, and losing her caused her to feel even more lonely.
[break]
By the time Bluepaw became an apprentice, she had become rather jaded and was assigned to Maggotcheer. Training was often rough, as when Maggotcheer was not being a half decent mentor, she would often goad Bluepaw, which would make her feel more isolated within ShoreClan. She began to sever her ties with even her adoptive family, and was not helped by the fact that Pineclaw still did not bother to pay her any attention.
[break]
At a Gathering, though, Bluepaw was finally able to reconnect with Nutriapaw, now an apprentice. The two quickly bonded once again, excited to see their childhood friend. After the Gathering, the two would sometimes meet in secret along the border between ShoreClan and GaleClan. Bluepaw found out that Nutriapaw was rather lonely in GaleClan, as Wapatofur was often too busy dealing with his duties to pay much attention to her, and she had a tough time getting along with her mentor, Sparrowclaw. The two grew closer despite their distance, sometimes even cuddling up to one another during their secret meetings.
[break]
At twelve moons old, Bluepaw was crushed when her adoptive siblings, Fennecpaw and Burrowingpaw, would receive their warrior names - Fennecfox and Burrowingowl - and she was glossed over. Though she thought for a moment that perhaps it was a mistake, especially as ShoreClan's deputy, Heronfrost, was the one running the ceremony while Minkstar was sick, but no mistake was made. Bluepaw would not be receiving her warrior name.
[break]
Brokenhearted, she ran from ShoreClan camp, feeling lonelier than ever. Her siblings were moving on without her, the leadership in ShoreClan didn't seem to care, her mother was gone, and her father was as distant as ever. When she ran into Nutriapaw at the border, she had hoped for a moment that perhaps things were turning around, until she found that her friend, too, had been given her warrior name: Nutriafang. Though she was crushed, and felt hopelessly lonely, Nutriafang proposed to Bluepaw that perhaps they run away in order to be together. With that, the two she-cats left, taking one another as their new mate.[break]
