a ginger and white tabby tom with yellow eyes[break]
Beefur is someone who aspires to be kind-hearted and loyal, and certainly is when you get to know him quite well. But to most strangers, he can come off perhaps a bit pompous. Unforntunately, Beefur is not the most perceptive one in the bunch, and struggles to read social situations all that well, so he acts the way that he thinks will earn him respect and friends by emulating the way his cousins act. Sadly for him, it doesn't often work out the way he plans.
[break]
At his true core, though, Beefur is a very excitable young warrior. He loves learning new things and getting stronger, eager to make others happy. He hates seeing others being treated unfairly, and is quick to stand up to injustice when he sees it. Beefur sometimes has a rather simple-minded approach to most things in life, which can come off charming to some, but perhaps a bit frustrating to others. But he'll be someone who, while unable to see the big picture all that well, will remember a small detail about something that someone said they liked once and always do what he can to bring that small thing back to them whenver he gets the chance.
Beefur is a cat of rather average size. He is a twin of his sister, Honeyhoot, with ginger tabby fur along his face, back and tail, while white fur covers his underbelly, muzzle, shoulders and legs. His eyes are bright and yellow, always alert and looking about excitedly. Beefur is rarely found sitting still, some appendage almost always twitching either with nervousness or excitement. He is entirely unable to hide his emotions, always clear in the way his ears or whiskers twitch, or the way his eyes dart, or the way he plays with the ground underneath him, Beefur's body language is quite easy for any cat to read.

Beekit was born alongside his twin sister, Honeykit, quite shortly after his mother's first litter left the nursery. In fact, his older sibling, Whitepaw, was only seven moons old when Taigathroat and Ruddyface had their second litter of two kits.
Yet, it seemed that Taigathroat did not care much for her kits. She often seemed too preoccupied with her own duties and life, and only paid as much attention to the kits as was deemed acceptable as to not seem neglectful. With that, Beekit instead took his attention towards other family members who might pay more attention to him, such as his older sibling, Whitepaw, as well as his cousins Cattailcry, Wapatofur and Ducknose. Though that did not last too long as while Beekit was still a kit, he watched as Wapatofur left ShoreClan behind to join GaleClan. Something about Wapatofur's disappearance intruiged Beekit, wanting to know what happened to the warrior. A small part of the kit worried that perhaps Wapatofur also felt a disconnect to his family, and Beekit, though still small, wondered if there was something he could have done to keep his cousin around rather than seeing him leave.
[break]
What did not aid the impending abandonment issues for Beekit was the loss of his parents. During a night while Beekit and Honeykit had been sleeping, Taigathroat had gone out for a drink of water alongside Ruddyface. During their trip out of the camp, being overtired, they had not realized that their scent had been taken up by a badger, who attacked the couple and took their lives, leaving Beekit, Honeykit and Whitepaw without their parents. In turn, Beekit and Honeykit would be raised not by their aunt, but by their older cousins: Ducknose and Cattailcry.
[break]
Finally, Beepaw would become an apprentice under the tutelage of Gullwind. Unfortunately, his rather short attention span and his fear of cats leaving made him rather difficult to train. He often requested that they would train alongside other mentors and apprentices, so that no one would ever be alone. While Gullwind would often relent, it became more difficult as time went on to find mentors and apprentices who were willing to work with the loud and perhaps too eager apprentice. His abrasive personality often made him hard to pair up, though Beepaw was always fortunate that his sister, Honeypaw, never felt that way towards him.
[break]
His apprenticehood was otherwise rather underwhelming, thankfully for him. Soon enough, he would be granted the name Beefur. At first, he found himself somewhat disappointed with the name, thinking it boring, until he remembered his cousin, the now deputy of GaleClan, Wapatofur. He took the name eagerly, excited to see what his own warriorhood might bring for him.
[break]
While out on a run, he happened across a seemingly lost calico she-cat. Very quickly, the pair seemed to get along, and Beefur even took her to see a stunning sight in ShoreClan territory: the sight of flying fish. But eventually, their fun time had to end, and he walked her back to GaleClan territory - completely forgetting to introduce his name or ask for hers in return. Luck would have it that he would later run into the same she-cat at a Gathering, but the Gathering's air felt nearly haunted, as Basilstar had disappeared and Wapatostar had taken over. Thankfully, even in the worry that Beefur held for his cousin, he still finally managed to learn the she-cat's name: Applecrisp.
[break]
Beefur and Applecrisp started spending more and more time along the ShoreClan-GaleClan border, until eventually she approached him asking him to be her mate as she was expecting kits. Beefur was torn only momentarily - not as to whether or not he wanted to be Applecrisp's mate, but where it would be best for them to stay. Mellowrain, ShoreClan's medicine cat, had recently disappeared and had been replaced with Maggotcheer, a cat who perhaps Beefur didn't entirely trust. So, with glee, he followed his new mate to GaleClan in order to find a new place for his family to settle.[break]
